Hey Dave, I am a guitar teacher in the Rome area. Although not as well versed as yourself, I am self taught and have found out that another way to enjoy music is to teach it to others. I currently have 7 students and we are growing. I work for a musical family that has started a school with the mission of training people to be able to lead church worship service. Check out our website and feel free to email or contact us at any time.
Excellent ideas for practice and excellent words to encourage someone such as myself to continue learning.
Thanks for writing! I hope you’re having a great holiday. Good luck with your teaching. Tell me more about your studio. I hope that this year will be more productive for all of us. Today was a good start – I added 2 new students.
Is there anything in particular that you’re struggling with? Chances are, if I’m not still struggling with it, I’ve struggled with it in the past. I’d love to hear what you think.
By the way, I just posted a new article on ear training. Nothing too complicated to start out with – give it a try. It’s the first in a series of articles that I’m going to put together. I’m just getting going with the blogging thing, and I’m enjoying it.
I plan on doing sort of a lick of the week series of posts too – in various styles. That should be fun to do..
Stay tuned.
